ACBF, in partnership with BADEA and the Islamic Development Bank, is driving inclusive agricultural development through the "Capacity Building for Women and Youth Empowerment in the Agricultural Sector" project. Targeting Burkina Faso, Gabon, and Sierra Leone, the initiative seeks to enhance leadership, entrepreneurship, and access to resources for women and youth, recognizing their crucial role in fostering sustainable development. Following successful launches in all three countries, the program has begun training 360 beneficiaries and 75 trainers, focusing on agribusiness management, financial literacy, and leadership. Localized approaches address unique challenges, such as limited land access in Gabon and value chain gaps in Sierra Leone. Meanwhile, Burkina Faso’s forums have fostered dialogue on empowering marginalized groups in agriculture. The initiative integrates mentorship, leadership coaching, and funding support for six agribusiness organizations, promoting innovation and building networks to sustain long-term impact. Collaborative platforms and partnerships with institutions like the Brazil Africa Institute amplify reach, ensuring knowledge-sharing and resource mobilization. This program underscores agriculture's potential as a driver of socio-economic transformation, positioning women and youth at the forefront of Africa’s development journey.
