The unit undertakes research on policy and disseminates the results to a variety of stakeholders, most notably the government. In December 2003, the ACBF Executive Board approved a second grant of $1.2 million for CAPE II for enhancing national capacity to support Benin’s development objectives.
Project Description:The project aim was to increase the contribution and impact of CAPE on policy formulation and implementation in Benin by providing policymakers with independent research findings and training for well-informed decision-making. It was also aimed at facilitating public participation in decision making, particularly in the formation and implementation of poverty reduction strategies.
